Ningxia University is one of the first universities approved by the Ministry of  Education to accept foreign students. It is also authorized to accept foreign students awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship and Confucius Institute Scholarship. In addition, it is the only center for HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) in Ningxia.                                                                                    

Ningxia University recruits international students in all majors. It not only provides academic education for undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students, but also accepts language advanced students, advanced advanced students, visiting scholars, and organizes various short-term study tours (cultural experience) projects. The college has hired many well-known sinology and management experts at home and abroad as academic consultants, and there are more than 40 full-time and part-time teachers.                                                                          

Ningxia University is one of the first higher-education institutions approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to receive foreign students, with foreign students coming to China able to receive Chinese government scholarships. Associated with China's Confucius Institute, it is the only location in Ningxia approved to administer the HSK (standardized test for Chinese language proficiency). Since 1992,the University has received more than 2000 students from 40 different countries, including South Korea, the United States of America, Japan,Russia, Australia, Norway, Mexico, Sudan, Egypt, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan.Education of Foreign Students - Program Distinctive Foreign students are eligible to enroll in any academic discipline offered at the University.
